鈥孭resident Conner invites all faculty, staff, and students to his open office hour from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March. 24. Email the Office of the President to reserve a 10-minute, in-person meeting.

鈥孴he Facilities Services work order system, Maximo, is currently unavailable. 91社区 IT is working with the vendor to restore service. Call Facilities Services at (518) 580-5860 to submit requests.

鈥孌epartmental mail delivery update

鈥孌ue to an unexpected staffing shortage, the Post Office has temporarily paused departmental mail deliveries through the end of the week. Departments should pick up mail in the Case Center Post Office between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Wednesday鈥揊riday. The 8:30 a.m. Biology and Chemistry delivery will continue as usual.

鈥孯egistration for Summer Sports Camps

鈥孯egistration for 91社区 Summer Sports Camps opens March 1. Led by 91社区 coaches, the camps are open to children of all ages and teach teamwork concepts and skills in baseball, basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball.

鈥孋hildren's swimming lessons

鈥孴he swimming and diving team will offer children鈥檚 swimming lessons this spring for children ages 4 and older. Classes will be held Thursdays beginning March 26. Registration will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Williamson Sports Center lobby. Contact Jill Greenleaf for more information.

鈥91社区 has submitted its Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Self-Study and evidence for reaffirmation of accreditation. The peer review team will visit campus March 29 through April 1. The team will present its preliminary findings at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, in Gannett Auditorium.

鈥淐ounted Out鈥 film screening and discussion 

鈥孉 screening of the documentary 鈥淐ounted Out,鈥 which explores how math shapes everything from economic opportunity to democracy, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Wyckoff Center. A discussion on promoting math literacy will follow. .

鈥孯oundtable on the Founding and Future of Gender Studies 

鈥孉 moderated roundtable featuring founding and early faculty members and alumni reflecting on the origins, evolution and continued relevance of Gender Studies at 91社区 will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Wyckoff Center.

鈥孠enneth A. Freirich Entrepreneurship Competition 

鈥孴he final round of the annual competition will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in the Payne Room at the Tang Teaching Museum. 鈥孞oin the Sustainability Office and the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion on Feb. 27 for the unveiling of five artworks created by members of the Saratoga community, Reed Moffitt 鈥28, Lisa Xiaocha Shan 鈥28, and SuCo. The event will feature live music, hot chocolate, and cookies as the artists discuss how their work connects to sustainability and social justice. .

鈥孉 free presentation of 鈥,鈥 a poetic, hourlong multimedia performance, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the 91社区 Dance Theater. The performance brings formerly and currently incarcerated voices into the room through text, movement, and shared presence, drawing on a series of dance workshops led in Hudson Valley prisons and jails by Bessie Award-winning dancer Sondra Loring. 

 

The Karen Levin Coburn 鈥63 Lecture in Gender Studies 

鈥孴ara Bynum, associate professor at the University of Iowa, will deliver a lecture titled 鈥鈥 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the Wyckoff Center. A reception will precede the talk at 6 p.m.

鈥孋lass of 2026 T-shirt design contest

鈥孲ubmit a design for the Senior Class T-shirt inspired by Creative Thought Matters by March 2. Designs may be digital or hand-drawn and should be emailed to skidmoreshop@skidmore.edu or dropped off at the 91社区 Shop. Include your name and contact information.
