Foundations in Creating an Affirming Campus for Trans & Nonbinary Students
Series of workshops catered to students, staff, and faculty focusing on developing
a deeper understanding of gender identity & expression.
Lovefest
Coinciding with Valentine鈥檚 Day, Lovefest aims to offer the community a space where
everyone is loved and welcomed. It honors the tenets of diversity, equity, inclusion,
and justice to which the Wyckoff Center is dedicated. The program also reflects 91社区鈥檚
commitment to the health and well-being of the community, a strategic priority of
the College. We are guided by bell hooks鈥 wisdom from her book 鈥淎ll About Love: New
Visions鈥: 鈥淭o truly love we must learn to mix various ingredients 鈥 care, affection,
recognition, respect, commitment, and trust, as well as honest and open communication.鈥
Spill the Disabili-Tea with Alex Locust
, a Black-white biracial, queer Disability Justice educator, community builder, and
鈥淕lamputee鈥 will join us on April 23 for a mini-residency featuring a class visit,
meetings with the Queer Faculty and Staff Group, Task Force on Accessibility, and
student groups, culminating with a public talk.
At 4:30pm on April 23 in the Wyckoff Center, Alex will present 鈥Spill the Disabili-Tea: An Interactive Dive into Disability Justice.鈥 This engaging talk will explore key questions about disability, access, and unlearning
ableism, inviting reflection and deeper understanding as we work toward more inclusive
